Our International Volunteer Program is aimed to develop and improve the quality of lives, welfare, and sustainability of the organization through serving nearby communities. We make sure that your volunteer causes are directly linked to the projects our organization focuses on, and that both our work and your contributions are synchronized with the sole purpose of bettering our community’s livelihoods and welfare. Having successfully executed numerous community programs, PTD continues to work advance our projects in the hope that locals get as many benefits as possible. Special Needs Education
Interested in being a Special Needs volunteer in Battambang?
Our Special Needs Education Program empowers volunteers to assist and interact with special needs children who are mostly intellectually disabled at PTD centres in Battambang. Volunteers will gain experience by working with children with disabilities while the children in turn benefit from the extra care and attention they receive from volunteers. Teaching English
Want to teach English in Battambang? Battambang, Cambodia is an awesome place to volunteer as a teacher!
Our Teaching English Program is based in PTD’s Learning Centre, AGS Community Centre, and Agro-eco Tourism Centre in the Battambang region. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience as a teacher, share your English language skills, and add something meaningful to your resume! Learning English gives local children and teens the opportunity to continue with further education and start a career in Cambodia’s rapidly expanding tourism and hospitality industries. Physical Work
We are always seeking to improve the facilities of our learning centres to ensure they are a safe and friendly environment for our children. Examples can be painting walls and fences, renovating old buildings, laying down the concrete, removing weeds, gardening, etc. Contact us to learn more.
Childcare
Curious about volunteering in a childcare program in Battambang?
PTD volunteer Childcare Program is based in the PTD Living and Learning Centre (LLC) in Battambang Province. LLC is often overcrowded, making it hard for local teachers to give children adequate education and attention. Volunteer childcare teachers can relieve this pressure on local staff by assisting with all kinds of daily duties and helping children get the care they need to grow and thrive. Admin & Professional Writer
Some of the office work staff still use traditional methods and old practices, which should be adapted to be more efficient and time saving. For professional writing, there is always a need for supporting our policy development, brochures, website, proposals, etc. We, as second language learners, find it challenging when it comes to writing perfect English. Agriculture
One of Cambodia’s main sectors is agriculture but our outputs are not comparable to the neighboring countries such as Thailand or Vietnam. Some of the techniques used are still traditional which, as a result, do not produce a large supply for either domestic and international demands.
