Who We Are
Ptea Teuk Dong (PTD) is a local nonprofit and NGO formed in June 1994 in Battambang, Cambodia. We work to provide quality education, community empowerment, and sustainable development to children and youth in our community. PTD was officially registered with the Ministry of Interior on August 28th 1996, and is committed to being non-religious and apolitical.
Ptea Teuk Dong is known throughout Battambang as PTD. Ptea Teuk Dong translates to house water coconut, to remind us of the healing properties of coconut water which has long been revered by the Cambodian people. PTD is constantly evolving to provide the best support and resources to our community.

Our Core Programs
Education Program
All children have the right to learn, whatever their circumstances. Explore our extensive education efforts in Battambang to learn how we are addressing the challenges that children in our community are facing.
Community Empowerment Program
Large proportions of the populations living in PTD target areas are living in poor conditions. We believe in empowerment our community to be more self-sufficient and to develop their skills to support themselves and their families
